Aside from the headgear, the pharaoh wore a white tunic or kilt. In addition, he often wore lots of colourful accessories, mainly made with gold and cobalt (which gave the characteristic blue hue). Symbols of power like staves were used.

Of course, there were female pharaohs too. The three major ladies in Ancient Egyptian history were Hatshepsut, Nefertiti, and Cleopatra. Note that the pharaohs also wore crowns in addition to the headdresses. After the unification of Lower and Upper Egypt, pharaohs wore the Pschent, a double crown made of two parts, symbolizing each of the two parts of Egypt. It is radically different from European style crowns, so if you want to get it right, make sure to look it up. This was one of the true symbols of the pharaoh, and in fact a hieroglyph of a double crown is often understood as a reference to the pharaoh himself.

Lastly, remember that many mummies are actually dead pharaohs. By adding royal-looking accessories to a basic mummy costume, you can transform it into the guise of a dead god-king, who would be much more powerful than some normal mummy.
